At Central Communications part of our mission is to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances in order for us to provide you with the best service. In looking around to study those advances in tech, I often come across some interesting articles and while they aren’t just about tech things we can use in our business, they are interesting and intriguing to know about.
There have been some great breakthroughs in robotics as of late. Companies such as Honda and Ford have been working on integrating robotics into our everyday lives. As you may have seen on some commercials, Ford has been integrating a voice recognition system into the 2011 Ford Fiesta that connects to your phone, allowing you to pick music, make calls and navigate hands free. Honda has recently developed a running robot that can traverse long distances and doesn’t fall over if knocked backwards, I don’t know that I can say that for myself. Even Google has been working on a car that takes control if something goes wrong with the driver. Yes, a car that drives itself.
There have also been many technological advances in fields besides cars. Sony has recently unveiled their new OCLED television, measuring out to about 3 millimeters thick, and very recently a team of British researchers have developed a new lie detector that measures eye movement and subtle facial movements that has shown to have a 70% success rate.
The exciting field of technological advancement is still as booming as it ever was, and is not showing any signs of slowing down. While some of the advances are not necessarily things we will be using tomorrow, eventually they are going to creep into our lives, and you can say you heard about it here second, or third, or maybe first…
